…”Darling come with me I’ll show you a whole new world”
The older I get the more time occurs to me. I used to think that time was something you could put in a box or decoratively hang on your wall, that it was something to be measured and evaluated. But time is nothing like that. Time can’t be measured or contained, it can only be felt. I feel it in a song, in a scent, in a familiar face. The season of fall has Time written all over it’s face.
Tonight, the smell of freshness and clarity after the first rain has nostalgia pumping through my veins.
Tonight I heard a song that I had never heard before but it reminded me of a time, the time of right now. The essence of being and how beautiful it is. Kyle and I spent a long last weekend at a personal growth seminar in the city. I’m still shocked and confused as to why he agreed to attend, but more-so I am elated at how powerful the weekend was. My love and respect for him is immeasurable. I never dreamt of a relationship so fulfilling, honest, fun and supportive. When truth and integrity are the foundation of a relationship, anything and everything is possible. I feel like no matter where life takes us, holding on to the that foundation will keep us together, keep us secure.
This one’s for you babe, for all the tides turning and for the love always burning between us.
But you and I now
We can be alright
Just hold on to what we know is true
You and I now
Though it’s cold inside
Feel the tide turning
